The Project of Providing Water for
from the Marginal Water Transition Line of
Geographical Location:
Lamerd city is located in the south of
Lamerd is comprised of 3 cities: Lamerd, Mohr and Eshkanan which are located along the main and secondary transition lines of the project.
Technical Characteristics of the Project:
The water transition system of Lamerd, Mohre and suburbs which is branched off the water transition line of the cities and the ports near
- First part:
This part has a length of about 3+900 km and is located in Hormozgan province. This part has branched off the water transition line which transmits water from kosar dam to the cities and the ports near
This pipe's diameter is 24 inches and it has branched off the main transition line at 224 meters higher than the sea level. Passing about 1+100 km of this route water will get to a suction storage which has a capacity of 1000 cubic meters belonging to the first pump station which is located at about 248 meters above the sea level. Thereafter passing 2+800 (km) water will be transferred to an other storage of 20,000m3 capacity by 6 electro pumps that 4 of them are active and 2 of them are for safety.

- Second part:
The length of this part which is comprised of steel pipes with 26", 24'' and 14'' is almost 45.878 (km).
This part is branched off the storage of 20,000 (m3) from 608 (m) above the sea level in Fars province and water form this point will flow gravitationally and provides water for the villages along it's route and finally at the station 45+878 (km) will be divided into two part and transferred to a storage of 500 (m3) which is 452 meters higher than the sea level in pump station No.2 in the west of Lamerd city to provide water for this city. Water will be transferred to an other storage with a capacity of 1000(m3) which is 561m above the sea level by using three electro pumps.
It has to be said that at the station 16+100 a branching out has been considered for the fifth part to provide water for Eshkanan.

- The third part:
This part has a length of 950 (m) and is located between pump station No.2 in the west of lamerd toward Mohr city and the balancing storage with 1000 (m3) capacity which is located at 561 (m) above the sea level.
In this part a pipe line with 16'' diameter will transfer water to this storage using two electro pumps of the three existing pumps.

- Fourth part:
This part is comprised of steel pipes and branches off the storage with 1000 (m3) at 561 (m) above the sea level and continues to the station 16+600 (km) and from this point GRP pipes with 250 (mm) and 400 (mm) diameters replace the steel ones because of the land characteristics in this part which is a kind of salt marsh.
These pipes continue to the station 3+250 (km) and passing the route gravitationally, will get to the storage of Mohr city at 481 (m) above the sea level.

- Forecasted Equipments:
a) 6 centrifugal horizontal electro pumps with 100 lit/sec capacity and a total head of 390 (m). Four of these are always working in order to pump water to the height of 370 (m) with a discharge of 400 (lit/sec) and transfer it through a 24'' steel pipeline which is 2800 (m) long to get to the storage of 20,000 (m3) capacity. The other tow pumps are for safety.
The power of these electro motors is 630 (k.watt). So, 3 (m.watt) electricity must be provided for this station from Hormozgan.
b) Four Emergency Generators each with 600 (k.watt) capacity.
c) Tow medium pressure greasy ground transformators with a capacity of 3500 (K.V.A.).
- Characteristics of the Pump Station No.2:
This pump station is located at kilometer 45+878 at the end of part two near Lamerd and about 450 (m) higher than the sea level.
- Forecasted Equipments:
a) 3 electro pumps of type WKL 150/5a each with capacity of 77.7 lit/s and the total head of 115 (m) to pump water with 150 (lit/s) discharge through a 16'' steel pipeline which is 950 (m) long to get to the storage of 1000 (m3) capacity which is located at the level of 561(m) from the sea level.
Water will be transmitted gravitationally from this storage to Mohr and its suburbs.
Two of these pumps are always working and the other one has been considered for safety purposes.
b) A 500 (k.watt) Emergency Generator
c) Tow medium pressure greasy ground transformators with a capacity of 630 (K.V.A).
d) Secondary buildings like guardroom, chlorination room, generator room,…
